The ISM provides accounts of four levels: Master, System Admin, Storage Admin, and Read Only. The master assigns maintenance tasks to users of different levels to subdivide tasks and improve maintenance efficiency. In addition, the ISM provides support account which is dedicated for the login of Huawei technical support engineers from remote terminals to locate local device problems.
- The ISM provides accounts of four levels. The permission of different accounts is as follow. Relationships among the four levels of users are described as follows:NOTE:
All operations involved in this chapter can only be performed by master.
The Master can create or delete System Admin, Storage Admin, and Read Only users, and change their passwords. Other users can only change their own passwords.
The Master cannot create users sharing the same name but can create users of the same level.
The Master can delete users of the same level but cannot change their passwords.
Master: A user that has all system permissions and can modify all settings as required.
System Admin: A user that can create and maintain file systems, NFS shares, networks, and clusters, set system time, and create reports.
Storage Admin: A user that can maintain storage units, and browse and export event reports.
Read Only: A user that can only browse the related device information.
The support user is dedicated for the login of Huawei technical support engineers from remote terminals to locate local device problems.
