Hi, @wissal!

As described by umaryaqubs: IVS (Intelligent Video Surveillance) is a name of complete solution including cameras, VCN (Video Cloud Node), VCM (Video Content Management), Storage, etc., while VCM is just a part of IVS.

Generally, IVS is also referred to as the IVS client.

As for VCM, Huawei's Video Content Management (VCM) system leverages the Cloud-based intelligent Big Data analysis technology to offer a wide array of intelligent video analysis algorithms and pre-integrate multiple intelligent analysis functions, dramatically improving video usage in industry applications.

The diversified service capabilities of VCM:

  • Automatically identifies multiple video formats.

  • Repairs video feeds that are corrupted by disk damage, cyclic overwrite, frame loss, or man-made errors.

  • Enhances video images to observe video details and locate valuable video.

  • Supports the video synopsis and intelligent retrieval to find out valuable video clips.

  • Perform service operations on the GIS map.

  • Supports the inspection and dispatching and performs license plate.

  • Supports various intelligent analysis functions and their independent application.

  • Supports the visualized management of the image information library in a unified manner and its independent application.

IVS is a name of complete package including cameras, nvr, vcm, storage, etc while vcm is just a part of IVS.

In IVS, from intelligent cameras to robust storage to IVS cloud3000(as vcm) covers Huawei surveillance as a whole. While VCM only takes care of the solution after video has been provided to it.

Broadly speaking:
The VCM focuses on algorithms and media analysis.
IVS includes it and is a comprehensive solution.
