Issues with associating 6760R-51E AP to the 6508 AC

Its been a while since I played with the H3C -> Huawei codebase so I may be missing something obvious.

I have configured the 6508 AC and can login and modify profiles. The IP is configured statically on the VlanIf 1, and all ports are members of VLAN1.

I have a 6760R-51E AP that is connected to a POE+ switch. This same switch is in port 2 of the 6508.

The AP is getting an IP from our DHCP server, and when I am on the CLI of the 6508, I can ping the IP address of the AP successfully.

When I wireshark the traffic on my laptop, I can see the AP sending out CAPWAP broadcasts.

But at no point does the AC ever show the AP in the "adoption" list, and if I try to add it manually it stays offline.

What am I missing that I need to do to get this AP (which is in FIT mode) to be managed by my AC?

Current System File Version is                    V200R020C00SPC200

Hello,

Whether the AP version is the same as the AC version. Is the AP a fat AP or a fit AP?

Possible Causes of AP Online Failure:

  1. The AP is not assigned an IP address, or the static IP address of the AP is incorrectly configured.

  2. The network between the AP and AC is disconnected due to incorrect configurations.

  3. The AP fails MAC address or SN authentication.

  4. The license resources are insufficient, and the maximum number of APs that can be connected to the AC is limited.

  5. The MAC address, SN, and type configured for the AP are not consistent with the actual ones.

  6. The AP is faulty.
