HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hello, team!

I have a question.

it's me an ISP reseller from Nepal. I have a couple of routers of Huawei with model HG8245. I am facing some issues with it when I reset the router the PPPOE dials but when it is switched off and on PPPoE dialup fails. When I monitor that there is no PPPoE request from the router.

Thank you!

Hi, friend!

The HG8245 is an ONT access device, not a router.

The HG8245 has reached EOS for a long time, and some device functions may be unavailable.

According to your description, do I need to confirm that the ONT dials up manually? Or dial automatically when the WAN is restored?

Hi, friend!

I noticed that you described the ONT resetting behavior.

You need to log in to the ONT web page to check whether the WAN configuration is lost.

The possible cause is that the WAN configuration is lost after the ONT is reset to the default value.

If the ONT does not have a route WAN port, the ONT does not automatically dial up. As a result, the dialup fails.

In this case, you need to configure the WAN for the ONT to make the dialup successful.

Thanks!
