Issue of Installation Stopped

【Issue Description]

When the SMC is being installed, the message "Installation path under the presence of the same name 'smc20db' database file, delete or additional!" is displayed, which indicates a database file conflict. The installation is then stopped.

【Possible Causes】

The database file of the earlier version is not deleted. When the SMC is updated, a new database file conflicts with the existing file, and the installation stops.

【Troubleshooting Procedure】

1. Perform either of the following:
   • If the later SMC version does not require database recovery

     Perform Step 2 and Step 3.

   • If the later SMC version requires database recovery
   1. Back up the current database. For details, see Backing Up the Database.
   2. Perform Step 2 and Step 3.
   3. Recover the database. For details, see Recovering the Database.

2. Delete the database file Data, which is saved by default to D:\Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd\Data.
3. Run Setup.bat. During the installation process, choose Create as the database operation type, as shown in below picture:
