【Issue Description】
During version rollback performed by referring to steps in section 6.2 "Version Rollback" of theHUAWEI SMC2.0 V100R002C01B025SP08 Upgrade Guide, SMC2.0 V100R002C01B025SP08 cannot be uninstalled completely. As a result, versions (for example, SMC2.0 V100R002C01B017SP08) earlier than the version cannot be reinstalled properly.
【Alarm Information】
The following error messages are displayed in sequence during installation.
- During installation of the SMC2.0, a message is displayed, indicating that a later version exists.

- During installation of the GK, a message is displayed, indicating that a later version exists.

- When you access the IP address 127.0.0.1 after the installation is complete, an error message is displayed, indicating that an error occurred on the server in the SMCSITE.
【Possible Causes】
According to the error message, the possible causes are as follows:
- The later version is installed before the earlier version and the later version is not uninstalled completely.
- The old GK version is not uninstalled completely and the old registration node list still exists.
- File Name Extensionsin theRequest Filteringis set to a rejected mode.
【Procedure】
Perform uninstallation according to the standard procedure: Uninstall the SMC and Switch System from the control panel and delete the files in theHuawei Technologies Co., Ltddirectory.
The solutions to the preceding three errors are as follows:
- If a later SMC2.0 version exists, delete the following registry nodes:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HuaWei Technologies\SMC 2.0
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\HuaWei Technologies\SMC 2.0 (This node does not exist in normal cases, but you are advised to check this node for assurance.)
- If a later GK version exists, delete the following registry nodes:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HuaWei Technologies\Switch System
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\HuaWei Technologies\Switch System (This node does not exist in normal cases, but you are advised to check this node for assurance.)
- If HTTP error 404.7 is reported after the installation, modify the configurations of the filtering module as follows:
- EnterIISin theStartaddress box to open the IIS manager.
- SelectSmcSiteand clickRequest Filtering. Then clickEdit Feature Settingson the right.
- In the dialog box that is displayed, select the first itemAllow unlisted file name extensions.
- Update the SMC2.0 web page (127.0.0.1).
