Hi,


Almost all Internet Services Providers (ISPs) are totally depending on Submarine cable global, and in case of any disaster occurred, Internet connectivity collapses / blackout. Therefore, strong network recovery plan should be set of procedures designed to prepare an organization to respond to an interruption of network services during a that happened occurred.


So here my question is that, what is the primary reason ISPs or Telecom operators not using satellite Internet for backup route? Is there any satellite Internet solution that has been recommended by Huawei Technologies?

As you might know, the ISP link carries a large amount of user data traffic, and the bandwidth of the satellite link is very small and very expensive. It is completely unnecessary to use the satellite link as a backup link when wires and cables can be laid, which is expensive and small in bandwidth.


Usually, satellite communication is only used as emergency supplements and supplements in extreme situations where wired communication cannot be achieved, such as on the sea.
