We have really wide network consists of more than 4 districts , we were using CISCO switches by far with STP . We had UDLD to detect fiber breaks now that we have started using Huawei switches too we are unable to detect link breaks. So is there any way DLDP or UDLD can work between Cisco and Huawei switches

Hi there,
UDLD is a Cisco proprietary protocol,  It is used to monitor physical configurations and detects unidirectional links of Ethernet links connected using fibers or twisted-pair cables. If Cisco needs to interconnect with Huawei, you can use the standard protocol DLDP to replace UDLD. ETH OAM can also replace it, with equivalent detection capabilities.

DLDP Configuration of Huawei Switch:

Yes, they can work simultaneously. But UDLD will work on Cisco side and DLDP will work on Huawei part of the network.
