This request for the Log4j2 vulnerability issue for CloudResetPwdAgent plugin


Is the One-Click password reset function affected by Apache Log4j2 on the ECS of Huawei Cloud Stack?

Hello, friend!

HUAWEI CLOUD ECS provides the one-click password reset function. If the password of an ECS is lost or expires, you can use this function to reset the password in one-click mode.


The password reset plug-in is a client process running in ECS and does not provide any external network services. The password reset plug-in CloudResetPwdUpdateAgent uses the Apache Log4j2 component. After analysis and verification by HUAWEI CLOUD security lab, the password reset plugin for ECS has no conditions for use. No security risk.
