Is it necessary to have an interoperability file to add a third party ONT to the OLT?

I am using a third party ONT with my OLT,is it necessary that i need to add an IOF file to get my ONT working or is there some mode/commands in the OLT from where i can configure my third party ONT.

Hello, I suggest that you use the devices of the same manufacturer. The devices of different vendors may encounter many exceptions.

I have managed to do some tweaks so that my Third party OLT goes to operation state but its getting deactivate after some time,Is it possible to get a specific reason for this behavior ?
