This post enquires about the IPv6 tunnel. Please read the below lines for more information on the issue.


ISSUE DESCRIPTION


Is there a solution for pure IPv6? I can set up GRE IPv6, but not VSI IPv6:

 

OSPF3 on GRE(IPv6)

VPLS(L2vpn) on GRE(IPv6)

ISIS(IPv6) on GRE(IPv6)

 

I'd like to use IPv6 on the internet side in the below BGP structure:

Hi,
Do you mean you want to enable the OSPFv3, L2VPN, and ISIS on the IPv6 GRE tunnel?

Update:

For the OSPFv3, it runs over IPv6, which is based on links instead of network segments. As such, the interfaces on which OSPFv3 is to be configured must be on the same link. In other words, which I think, the OSPFv3 cannot be enabled on the GRE tunnel. As instead, you can configure the OSPFv3 vlink to establish the OSPFv3 peer over the network.

Thanks for your support. I see OSPFV3 and ISIS cannot setup on gre VPLS on Gre?

I tried the command 'mpls ldp' under the IPv6 GRE tunnel, but the system report none such command under IPv6 GRE tunnel view is found. I tried that on the NE40E router, and the AR router doesn't allow the IPv6 GRE tunnel. Can you please specify what is your device model? If you are using the NE40E router, maybe, it's not supported to configure the VPLS over IPv6 GRE tunnel.

Is your internal Network is IPV4, Probably you need to use NAT46 as well

there is generally no direct connection on our network. we use vpls on gre ospf on gre for ipv4. we want carry L2 vlan for ipv6 like picture
