The CPE initiates a connection request. After receiving the request, the BNG allocates an IPv6 address to the WAN interface on the CPE and a prefix to generate IPv6 addresses for the hosts attached to the CPE.
can anyone explain why we are generally using the /64 subnet for the LAN.
if use dual-stack for IPV4 we can use the /24 subnet to allocate IP to 254 user same we can use the /120 subnet in IPV6 to to allocate IP to 256 user but we are using the /64 subnet any expert explain the reason.
