IPv4 multicast and IPv6 multicast

I want to know what are the features that the IPv6 multicast does not support, compared to IPv4 multicast?

Hi！

In the transmission network, there are few places where IPV6 multicast is applied. In the access network, IPv6 does not support log record reporting, for the time being, only local records are supported.

Compared to IPv4 multicast, the IPv6 multicast does not support the following features.

  • Transparent transmission of unknown IGMP multicast protocol packets

  • Preview of multicast programs

  • Statistic of the video flow

  • Global leave function

  • Transparent transmission policy and the IGMP policy for the VLAN not matched

  • Policy for transparent transmission and policy set in a VLAN service profile for processing unmatched IGMP packets

  • Log report for IPv6 multicast
