Hello:

I have a question about the VPLS Daisy-Chained implementation for  IPTV service in metro-ethernet network.

I created de VPLS in a ring topology with LSP between each switch. How can I implement loop protection in this scheme fig 1

@pedrojsl hi,
I think yes, cause the multicast prevent the loops bases on the unicast routing protocol and the RPF.

Hello chenhui,
Thank you for your answer. That cofiguration could work. The question I have is: does this loop detection mechanism work for multicast traffic?
thanks

thanks for your answer but that is not the problems. When I create the VSI in the way that appear in the scheme there is a loop between de PW. I need to configure STP or something like that break de loop for that service.
