In the day time, to get a clear image, the iris size is small, and the focal length of the object in the camera scene is big. But when at night, the iris size is big and the focal length is small, so the defocus may be caused.
You are recommended to change the auto-iris into electrical shutter mode. Or adjust focus in low illumination environment.
