Hello, dear friends of the Community!
Today, I'd like to share with you how to troubleshoot the SUN2000-40KTL-M3 power grid overvoltage alarm.
PROJECT BACKGROUND
The SUN2000-40KTL-M3 is faulty and cannot be connected to the grid. When the SUN2000-40KTL-M3 is connected to a mobile phone inverter, a power grid overvoltage alarm is reported.
ISSUE ANALYSIS
The inverter generates an overvoltage alarm because the power grid fluctuates greatly. As a result, the power grid voltage exceeds the overvoltage protection parameter of the inverter at a certain time.
On SmartPVMS, the power grid voltage at the AC end of the inverter fluctuates greatly, as shown in the below screenshot:

HANDLING PROCEDURE
We increase the level-1 overvoltage protection parameter and the ten-minute overvoltage protection parameter to 290 V.
After the overvoltage protection parameters are adjusted, the inverter alarm frequency decreases significantly, but the power grid overvoltage alarm is still generated, as shown in the below screenshot:

The on-site investigation shows that the distance between the inverter and the transformer is less than 100m. In order to ensure that the voltage at the place far from the transformer is normal, the output voltage of the transformer is usually pulled up in consideration of the line voltage loss. Therefore, the inverter generates an alarm indicating that the power grid is on overvoltage.
CONCLUSION
When the inverter generates a grid overvoltage alarm, consider the site conditions of the plant. If the inverter is close to the transformer, the grid overvoltage alarm will be generated.
That's all I wanted to share and if you have any questions, feel free to leave your feedback in the comment section below!
