Hello, Everyone!
Today, I will share a Huawei Server management tool----iBMA.
We will learn about this tool from the System Architecture and the Function Features.
OK, Let's go on!
System Architecture
As the in-band management agent software, Huawei iBMA 2.0 provides the standard Redfish management interface for the upper-layer management software iBMC and supports the integration with the out-of-band system through BoB mapping to provide more comprehensive server management capabilities.

Function Features
1. Information query
You can query information about the operating system, network adapters, hard disks, RAID controller cards, and OAM links.
2. System monitoring
Periodically monitors system information and health status and reports alarms in a timely manner.
3. Fault diagnosis
Monitors the I/O performance of hard disks periodically, reports sense code errors and file storage diagnosis information of hard disks and detects firmware faults of hard disks in MD software RAID mode.
4. Memory isolation
Softly isolates the faulty physical memory of the operating system to ensure the memory read efficiency.
5. The iBMA also provides the black-box function. After the black box function is enabled, the iBMA can record the status information and debugging information when the system breaks down. The information helps to locate faults.
The iBMA also provides the following security measures to ensure data security:
The iBMA runs inside the OS and communicates with the iBMC through the dedicated PCIe channel inside the server board, ensuring data channel security.
The iBMA supports digital signature verification for upgrade files during driver upgrade.
The iBMA properly configures the operation permission on installation files to prevent misoperations.
The iBMA queries only hardware information and does not change system configurations. It does not collect or process personal data.
If you think it is helpful for you, please download and use it.
