The two-site and three-center DR plan is typically used in the networking with a intra-city DR center and a remote DR center. The two centers are established to provide multi-level protection for data and services in the production center. If a disaster occurs in the production center, services can be quickly switched to the intra-city DR center. If a disaster occurs in both the production center and the intra-city DR center, the remote DR center can start production services quickly, maximally ensuring service continuity.
- The UltraVR system is deployed in both the intra-city and remote DR centers to centrally manage the intra-city production center, intra-city DR center, and remote DR center.
- An active-active data center consists of a production center and an intra-city DR center. The active-active data center and a remote DR center form array replication relationship. When a fault occurs in the production center, the intra-city DR center automatically takes over data services. When devices in the production center and intra-city DR center are faulty, the UltraVR management software can be used to quickly start services in the remote DR center.

Deployment Modes
Deploy one set of UltraVR in the two-site and three-center DR plan to centrally manage the production center, intra-city DR center, and remote DR center, or deploy two sets of UltraVR each in the intra-city DR center and the remote DR center.
When you plan to deploy only one set of UltraVR, deploy it in the DR center that needs to restore services quickly. Ensure that the management servers can communicate with the management networks of the service hosts and storage devices in the three centers.
DR Management
- In this plan, data is first copied from the intra-city production center to the intra-city DR center. Then UltraVR copies the data from the intra-city DR center to the remote DR center based on specified DR protection policies.
- During routine O&M, you can perform one-click DR drills in the intra-city or remote DR center to test data availability in the DR centers and estimate the recovery time objective (RTO).
- If planned events (such as power cut and system maintenance) or unexpected disasters (such as earthquakes, fires, and floods) occur, perform the one-click fault recovery or planned migration to enable the intra-city DR center to take over services. You can also use the data backups in the remote DR center to rapidly restore services. After that, you can use the reprotection function to protect data in the DR centers.
