Background
Some users excessively consume storage
system resources, so some other users cannot have sufficient resources. Current
storage systems do not allow administrators to allocate storage space or files
to user groups and users based on service requirements. The InfoAllocator
feature can efficiently resolve this problem.
Definition
InfoAllocator is a resource control
technology. It restricts resources (including storage space and file number)
available for users or user groups in a directory. Using the InfoAllocator
feature, OceanStor 9000 administrators can:
Plan storage space or file number
consumed by a user or a group in a proper way.
Manage storage space or file number
that a user or a group consumes.
Make statistics on and check
storage space or file number consumed by a user or a group.
