Intra-eNodeB Handover

1. The UE sends a measurement report to the eNodeB to trigger the eNodeB to initiate a handover.
- 2. The eNodeB delivers an RRC Connection Reconfiguration message to the UE to request the UE to hand over to another cell.
The most important IE in the RRC Connection Reconfiguration message is MobilityControlInfo. This IE indicates a handover command.
- 3. After receiving the RRC Connection Reconfiguration message, the UE accesses the target cell based on the configurations contained in the message. After successfully entering the target cell, the UE sends an RCC Configuration Reconfiguration Complete message to the eNodeB, indicating that the handover succeeds.
- 4. After receiving the RCC Configuration Reconfiguration Complete message, the eNodeB delivers measurement configurations based on the configurations of the new cell.
