Hello, here is a case about how to analyze the interrupted HyperMetro pairs.
Symptom:
A set of HyperMetro pairs disconnected.
Technical Analysis:
1. Check the event log and find many pairs are interrupted, but no service effect
2. Search the alarm ID of HyperMetro disconnection, and find the alarm time happened firstly
3. Check the event log of the storage site which can’t provide service, find controller 0A rebooted before pairs were interrupted
4. Check storage log and find mirror write IO failed because of write IO access exceeded the maximum LBA of LUN 5. Compared with configuration data, the LBA is valid at this moment. For sure it’s a software defect and we need to fix the bug
