Internet Failure Modem HG8245H

Hello,
So today I was making a Minecraft server and changed the forwarding on my modem so I was able to make the server so
I restarted the modem in order so the setting would fit in and since then it would work fine for 5 min and then shut off.

I have tried to cut the power for the modem and restarting it that way. ( did not work) I have not tried to restart it completely but I wanted to inform myself first here for other possible solutions.

I also noticed on my computer that a connection ( with ethernet) is working, but browsing the internet doesn't. Also when I look into task manager, I see 'system' and 'service host don't take up to 100mbps while still not being able to go on google.

Please help me as soon as possible BCS my whole family hates me as it is my fault and I want to fix this problem as soon as possible.

Solution 1


You can reset the DNS service


1. In most cases, the default user name for logging in to the web page is root, the password is admin, and the IP address is 192.168.100.1. However, for security reasons, the default password or IP address may have been changed before delivery. The nameplate prevails. Enter the IP address in the address bar of your browser.


2. Enter the default login account and password on the nameplate on the rear of the ONT, and click Login.


3. Click the Network Application tab and then choose DNS Configuration from the navigation tree. In the right pane, configure DNS template, DNS parameters, and you can also configure static DNS domain name resolution.

4. Click Apply.


Restart your router and computer to make sure you can access the Internet

If the fault persists, restore all configurations before the fault occurred.


If you haven't backed up your configuration data, contact your ISP and ask them to configure it remotely for you.
