1. Why is IDN Needed?

The IDN architecture consists of four engines:

 

1. The intent engine translates business intent into network language and simulates network design and planning.

 

2. The automation engine converts network design and planning into specific network commands and enables network devices to be automatically executed through standard interfaces.

 

3. The analysis engine collects and analyzes user network data through real-time telemetry and other technologies. Huawei does not collect user privacy data, but collects only user network data, such as Wi-Fi uplink and downlink rates, delay, and packet loss rate.

 

4. The intelligent engine, based on the analysis engine, provides risk prediction and handling suggestions based on algorithms such as artificial intelligence and continuous upgrade experience library.

In the end, a digital twin world is formed through four engines. The following network infrastructure will form a closed-loop system, which is the essence of IDN architecture whose ultimate goal is self-management and self-optimization.
