When an Incorrect ESN is used to apply for a license, a message is displayed that resources are insufficient when the license is imported.
Solution
Use the ESDP platform to roll back the license, apply for a new license file using the correct ESN, and reload the license file.
1. Rolling Back a License
Step 1 Log in to the ESDP platform.
Step 2 In the navigation pane on the left, select License Commission and Maintenance > Commercial License Rollback > Permanent License Rollback.
Step 3 On the Permanent License Rollback page, set Rollback Type to Rollback Without Revocation Code.
Step 4 Enter the following information as instructed: Rollback Mode, Region, and Reason.
Step 5 Click Select Equipment (Node) and enter the ESN to obtain and select the equipment (node) whose license is to be rolled back.
Step 6 Click Submit.
Step 7 View the rollback progress in Operation Record.
2. Obtaining the FusionCompute ESN at the Active Site
Step 1 Log in to FusionCompute and select System > System Configuration > License Management.
Step 2 Click Load License File.
Step 3 Select Independent license, click Obtain ESN, and then make a note of the ESN.
3. Applying for a License
Activating a License Using an Activation Password
Step 1 Log in to the ESDP platform.
Step 2 In the navigation pane on the left, select License Activation > Password Activation.
Step 3 Enter the activation password to obtain product entitlement information.
You can obtain the activation password from Huawei Proof of Entitlement shown in the following figure.
Step 4 Select the FusionSphere entitlement ID and click Next.
Step 5 On the Binding of ESN page, enter the licensed FusionSphere component ESN and click Next.
Step 6 On the Confirm Activation page, check the activation information. If it is correct, click Confirm Activation to submit the activation task.
Step 7 View the task progress in Operation Record. After the task progress becomes Success, download the license file of FusionSphere. After the task progress reaches 100%, you can download the license file from the email the system sends you
Applying a License Using a Contract Number
Step 1 Log in to the ESDP platform.
Step 2 In the navigation pane on the left, select License Activation > Entitlement Activation.
Step 3 Enter the contract number to obtain product entitlement information.
Step 4 Select the FusionSphere entitlement ID and click Next.
Step 5 On the Binding of ESN page, enter the licensed FusionSphere component ESN and click Next.
Step 6 On the Confirm Activation page, check the activation information. If correct, click To confirm and activate the license to download the license file of FusionSphere.
4. Loading a License on FusionCompute
Step 1 Log in to FusionCompute, select System > System Configuration > License Management.
The License Management page is displayed.
Step 2 Click Load License File.
The Load License File page is displayed.
Step 3 Select a method to load the license file.
Step 4 Select Independent License.
Step 5 Click Browse next to Upload Path.
A dialog box is displayed.
Step 6 Select the obtained license file and click OK.
A dialog box is displayed.
Step 7 Click OK.
