Good friends of the forum, today we share with you a troubleshooting article about insufficient water supply to the air conditioner.
Problem Description
Insufficient water supply alarm during air conditioning operation.

Introduction to the Electrode Humidifier
Humidification working principle: When a humidifier is required, the humidifier water inlet solenoid valve is turned on, and water is injected into the humidifier cylinder through the humidifier water pipe. The water level in the humidifier cylinder rises and triggers the high water level electrode sensor. Then, the drain solenoid valve is turned on, and the humidification current is controlled by controlling the water level in the humidifier tank. (The water level in the humidifier tank is proportional to the current and humidification volume.)
Alarm Principle
When the water inlet solenoid valve is turned on, the water level in the humidifier bucket does not trigger the high water level electrode sensor for a long time. If the water level in the humidifier bucket frequently triggers the high water level electrode sensor, the humidifier drainage abnormal alarm is reported.
The rated current in the humidifier cylinder is 10 A. When the actual current is greater than 15 A, the Humidifier Current Too High alarm is generated. When the actual current is less than 3 A, the Humidifier Current Too Low alarm is generated.
Troubleshooting
Water supply check
Check whether the humidifier water inlet pipe is installed.
Check whether the water valve of the water supply pipe is open and whether the water supply is normal.
Check the water inlet pressure. The normal water supply pressure ranges from 0.1 MPa to 0.7 MPa. If the water pressure is too low, and Insufficient Water Supply alarm is generated. If the water pressure is too high, the humidifier water supply pipe may leak.

Humidifier Check
Open the rear door of the air conditioner and remove the air filter.
Measure the conductivity of the onsite humidifier water. Check whether the onsite water quality meets the requirements. The conductivity of the 25 kW humidifier must be within the range of 100 μs/cm to 1250 μs/cm.

Use a screwdriver to remove the hose clamp of the humidifier bucket exhaust pipe, use a socket to remove the nut of the humidifier bucket electrode wiring terminal, use sharp-nosed pliers to remove the wiring terminal of the humidifier bucket high liquid level detection electrode, and remove the belt securing the humidifier bucket.

Remove the humidifier cylinder, open the humidifier cylinder, and check whether there is serious scale inside the humidifier cylinder and whether the electrodes are corroded.
(Only the white-Tongda humidifier barrel can be opened. The transparent Calor humidifier barrel cannot be opened and can be viewed from the outside.) If there is a serious scale in the humidifier cylinder, soak the humidifier cylinder in acetic acid to remove the scale. If there are corrosion or spark marks in the humidifier cylinder, replace the humidifier cylinder.

Check whether the drain solenoid valve for the low humidifier is dirty or blocked. If yes, clear the drain solenoid valve.

Remove the humidifier water inlet pipe and drain pipe from the base of the humidifier cylinder, remove the cables for the humidifier water inlet solenoid valve and drain solenoid valve, and remove the screws that secure the base to the side panel of the air conditioner, and remove the humidifier base.

Remove the three screws from the base of the electrode humidifier, lift the solenoid valve base, check whether there is a scale from the bottom and clean it.

Check whether the humidifier water inlet pipe is blocked. Remove the humidifier water inlet solenoid valve and check whether the water inlet solenoid valve body is blocked. If the humidifier water inlet pipe or water inlet solenoid valve is blocked, clean it.

After the fault is rectified, reinstall the humidifier cylinder or replace it with a new one, and restore the water inlet drainpipe and related cables.
Power on the device, install the air conditioner filter, and open the water supply pipe valve.
On the display of the indoor unit, touch to power on the device.
Solution
For areas with poor water quality, a filter can be installed at the main water supply pipe, in a location that is easy to check and clean, which can effectively avoid back-end abnormalities.
