Procedure
-
Install mounting brackets to the router.
NOTE:
The mounting brackets can be installed close to the front panel or the rear panel of the router.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to fix the mounting brackets to both sides of the router with M4 screws.
-
Mark the positions of floating nuts and L-shaped guide rails.
- An AR2220 router is 1 U high, which is the distance between three mounting holes. Mark the mounting holes for L-shaped guide rails and floating nuts with a marker, as shown in Figure 4.
- An AR2240 router is 2 U high, which is the distance between six mounting holes. Mark the mounting holes for L-shaped guide rails and floating nuts with a marker, as shown in Figure 5.
- An AR3260 router is 3 U high, which is the distance between nine mounting holes. Mark the mounting holes for L-shaped guide rails and floating nuts with a marker, as shown in Figure 6.
-
Install floating nuts and L-shaped guide rails on the cabinet.
NOTE:
The methods of installing floating nuts and L-shaped guide rails to different models are the same. There is a slight difference among the locations of floating nuts and L-shaped guide rails on different models. The following describes how to install floating nuts and L-shaped guide rails on AR2220.
- Install the four floating nuts on the mounting holes by using a Phillips screwdriver according to the marked floating nut locations. Two floating nuts are installed on each side. Ensure that the left and right floating nuts are on the same horizontal plane.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to fix L-shaped guide rails to the left and right sides of the cabinet with M5 screws according to the marked L-shaped guide rail locations. Align the bottom edges of the guide rails with the lower edges of the marked mounting holes.
-
Install the router into the cabinet.
- Move the router into the cabinet, place the router on the L-shaped guide rails, and gently push the router into the cabinet until the mounting brackets are completely attached to the front mounting rails.
- Use M6 screws to secure the router onto the cabinet through the mounting brackets.
