Video surveillance is often exposed to the natural environment and is vulnerable to lightning. It is particularly important to master the installation skills of lightning rods.
Lightning rods are not allowed in the following aspects:
1. Lightning rods should not be installed on the structure and roof of high voltage distribution devices below 35kV. Lightning rods installed on the structure should be connected with the grounding grid and installed with centralized grounding devices.
2. The distance between the independent lightning rod and the protected object should be no less than 5 m, so as to avoid counterattack when lightning strikes the lightning rod. Independent lightning rod should be equipped with an independent grounding device, and the middle distance between the lightning rod and the grounding grid should not be less than three meters.
3. It is strictly forbidden to install overhead lighting lines, telephone lines, radio lines, antennas on lightning rods or structures.
4. The distance between lightning rod and grounding device and road and outlet should be more than 3 meters. Otherwise, gravel or asphalt should be paved 5 to 8 centimeters thick to protect people from step voltage hazards. Lightning rods should not be installed on the portal frame of transformer.
Cautions for installation of lightning rods:
1. All metal parts must be galvanized, and attention should be paid to protecting the galvanized layer during operation.
2. Lightning rods should be installed vertically and firmly, and the allowable deviation of verticality is 3/1000.
3. Using galvanized steel pipe as needle tip, the thickness of pipe wall should not be less than 3 mm, and the length of needle tip tin brushing should not be less than 70 mm.
4. Welding requires overlap welding. The overlap length must meet the following requirements:
A: Flat steel is twice its width (and welded with at least three edges).
