Install AR6300 Series SD-WAN Software in a Huawei Server.

Hi everybody, 


I need install a router like NetEngine AR6140, AR6280 or AR6300 in my DC; but i can install only equipment with air-flow front-to-back, and thoses models only support air-flow left-to-right. 

So... one solution could be install a NetEngine AR Series software image in a Huawei server. Somebody if Huawei have this solution/option? 


Other most brands support that possibility, that it is a trend.

Hi,
Huawei provides the virtual router AR1000V to be deployed on the server using the x86-based hardware platform, private cloud, or public cloud.

This virtual router (AR 1000V) have the same functions like at AR6300? We can use that for SDWAN solution?

Yes, it can be used for SD-WAN. For the supported features, I'm not sure what specify parts you want to, for AR1000V, it supports the most commonly features.

Great news! The functions that i need are the same that the AR6300. This router will be the hub installed in the Data Center for connect a lot of routers AR651 and AR6140.

You say that is the solution?

I think it could take over the role. You might need more performance for acting as the HUB.

When you say "more performance". What do you mean? More performance in hardware server or what?

For this case, we are thinking about 200 routers. Do you think this is an option?

I mean the physical server performance for the AR1000V, the more physical performance, the higher performance of the AR1000V provides.

Yes, you might need assign more hardware/virtual server resouce for the AR1000V if you want use it as the HUB.

Please refer the picture below, it describes the supported features and resource requirements of AR1000V.
