@daniellima Hi,
ECN is marked to adjust the flow rate between the NICs, switch mark the ECN to the packets which are under congestion to notice the upstream lower the flow rate, in which way, the congestion is eased. Switch mark the packets based on the ECN threshold, so the ECN threshold influences the result directly. The higher ECN threshold will increase the burst traffic cache capacity, which is good to the throughput. But on the contrary, it will cause the latency and length of the queue increase, which is disadvantage to the latency-sensitive service. If the ECN is set too low, it will lower the burst traffic cache capacity, which is not good to the high throughput traffic.
dynamic Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN) will help to restrict the disadvantages of the static ECN we talked before. The dynamic ECN scheduling algorythm would help to adjust the ECN threshold dynamiclly, which would keep the high throughput and low queue latency simultaneously.

VIQ would help to eliminate the packet dropping caused by the burst traffic congestion in the forwarding chip.
