After the JRE program is upgraded on the maintenance terminal, the program automatically empties the Java-related temporary files and cached files. As a result, the ISM shortcut icon is deleted from the desktop.
A user deletes this shortcut icon by mistake.
The JDK source code cannot be changed, and the deleted ISM shortcut icon cannot be retrieved; therefore, you need to add a new ISM shortcut icon through the Java Application Cache Viewer dialog box. Perform the following operations:
1. On the maintenance terminal, choose Start > Run.
2. Enter javaws -viewer.
The Java Application Cache Viewer dialog box is displayed.
3. Right-click the ISM application program, and choose Install Shortcuts from the shortcut menu.
