This post will tell you one issue in an OSN 3500 the TPS Switch doesn't occur when TPS Group is more than 1-4.
Problem description
The equipment OSN 3500 V1R2C02B022SP02 (5.21.12.42), when has a TPS group more than 1:4, if any problem happens, the TPS switch may not occur, and the services could be lost. Then the protection board would have to be reset to restore the services.

Handling procedure
When the OSN 3500 equipment has V1R2C02B022SP02 (5.21.12.42) software version and a PQ1/PQM TPS protection group configured over 1:4, sometimes activation commands of some channels are not received, then, when TPS switching, services in corresponding channels cannot be protected.

Solution
Temporary Solution: soft reset the protection board manually. If over 1:4 TPS protection group exists in the equipment, and the TPS switching doesn’t occur, soft reset the protection board to restore the services.
Final Solution: Upgrade the OSN 3500 to V1R3C02B030SP04 (5.21.13.47) or above.
