From my own point of view the main limitations of OTN is that the minimum pipe of it is ODU 0 which is 1.25 Gbps

So if we need to carry tributary service with low rate like STM 1 , STM 4 , the bandwidth utilization will be very low

and when we try to carry private line service from customers and we have 100 GBPS line , the maximum of private lines will be 80 only.
