Impact of link-aggregation in OLTs

Hello, 


Currently, we have the link-aggregation configured in "egress-ingress" mode and we would like to know what impact it would have to change them to "src-dst-ip" mode. Would there be a service outage when making such a change? What impact does making that change have?

Hello, friend!


You can run the link-aggregation mode command to modify the packet distribution mode for an Ethernet link aggregation group.


  • egress-ingress indicates that the member ports distribute packets based on the source MAC address and destination MAC address. This mode is recommended when the device does not support the MPLS feature.


  • src-dst-ip indicates that the number of ports distribute packets based on the source IP address and destination IP address.


However, it should be noted the operation affects services.


The system displays "Changing link aggregation mode may cause service interruption, are you sure to make the operation? (y/n)[n]:" after this command is successfully executed.
