Hello team,

is there any way to enable snmpv2c in iMaster Campus server? Everytime I tried to configure a device by using snmpv3, it always shows me an error message saying "Failed to create the NE. Maybe snmp parameters are not correct, the communication between NMS and NE is abnormal or the firewall is incorrectly configured".

Can you help me to solve this error please ? or help me to enable snmpv2c in the server.

Hi FTAFURP,

By default, only the SNMPv3 protocol and corresponding security algorithms are enabled on the iMaster NCE-Campus. After the insecure SNMP algorithm is enabled, you can select an insecure algorithm corresponding to SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, or SNMPv3.

Using insecure SNMP protocols or algorithms has security risks. Exercise caution when using them.

1. Use PuTTY to log in to the node where the drivermgmtservice process of DrvMgmt resides, as the sopuser user in SSH mode.

2. Run the following command to switch to the ossuser user:

su-ossuser

3. Run the following command to go to the directory where the modifyCustomConfig.sh file is stored:

cd /opt/oss/NCECAMPUS/apps/DriverMgmtService/bin

4. Run the following command to enable all insecure configuration items:

sh modifyCustomConfig.sh -on

If "Operation successful." is displayed, the modification is successful.
