Why does a L3 ipv6 only interface reports as down on ifOperStatus ?

@AGregory hi,
IF-MIB::ifOperStatus and ipv6IfOperStatus are not the same,
the IF-MIB::ifOperStatus display the information based on ipv4, in this situation, the interface which  configured with ipv6 address is under up/down status, the physical status is up, but the protocol status is down, so the IF-MIB::ifOperStatus display down.
if you change the IF-MIB::ifOperStatus to IF-MIB::ipv6ifOperStatus, the result will display as up.

Understood, what would be the best option to monitor only the interface physical status , independent of line protocol?
