IBMC won't share network connection with hypervizor

So I'm having a problem with my RH2288H v3 where the ibmc network port (the physical ethernet port) will only be taken up by ibmc. So the host OS doesn't get a network connection.


I can't figure out how to set the port to "shared" mode, the only NIC in the system outside of the one ethernet port are SFP ports, and I don't have the equipment at hand to set that up.


Any ideas? I just need the system to share the one port I have.


Also, is the BC1M01FXEB NIC sfp or sfp+ ?

I have checked the RH2288H V3 Server, and find that there is no LOM port. So you need to use an expansion I/O card to activate the Ethernet network port.

Please check whether you have installed the I/O card.


The BC1M01FXEB NIC is SFP+.

Vsphere 7.0
Issue persists regardless of OS. Both windows server and vsphere reported only seeing the fiber ports and not the ethernet port onboard
