I want to use hg8245g router as a extender

Check whether the device model is correct. Huawei ONTs do not have the HG8245g model.

Depending on your requirements:

The HG8245 series device is designed as a home gateway - does not support the function as a WiFi extender.

If you create a bridged WAN interface to bind LAN and WiFi to the WAN interface, it will work as an AP, but not sure if it will work.

If an extender is required, the latest new dual-band WiFi ONT can be used with a designated AP to extend WiFi. For example, WA8011Y.
