oh thanks for the info. i was also suspecting it may be due to account expire. But if account had expire why am i still able to login?

You run the display local-user username command to check whether the validity period configured for the local account is correct based on the Account-expire-time field. Look at the information in the switch. if it has not expired, it means that the local authentication has not passed. |
