BACKGROUND INFORMATION

SE1000 is the transfer point for signaling protocols. All signaling packets between the two networks pass through the SE1000 to implement functions such as CAC.

I-SBC supports the:

• conversion between SIP over TCP and SIP over UDP;

• signaling and media stream forwarding between different networks;

• audio transcoding;

• SIP/SIP-I/SIP-T interworking;

• flexible routing;

• IP-PBX trunking.
