I have a  5G router  cpe pro2

model: H122-373

Series: 49VDW20731xxxxxx

Software version: 10.0.5.1(H612SP7C983)

Hardware version: WL1H122M

i want to do portforwarding from ths router. I have also configured DDNS using my noip.com account.

The status of this ddns is online and the Public IP address is updated correctly to noip.com

I am also trying to get the router to forward certain ports to some of the devices in my internal network. For this I am using Virtual Server option.

I can correctly connect to those devices from within my local network, however they remain inaccessible from the outside.

Can some one please gave me suggestion.

Hello, friend!

First, it should be noted that Huawei 5G CPE pro is a consumer product, and the forum is mainly intended for enterprise network devices.

The content I replied to you before is the content of the port forwarding guide on consumer devices.

If you are a home network, the two IP addresses you see exist in the following situations:

1. Internal subnet IP address and public network interface IP address
2. If a VPN is connected, the proxy server has an IP address.

In conclusion, the IP address division is normal. You can obtain detailed information from the ISP because the home network parameters are planned by the ISP and the device is only a carrier of services.

I have provided the configuration guide. You can perform the configuration according to the guide.

If you need more information, you can consult the consumer hotline.

We have the Huawei Community support (https://consumer.huawei.com/en/community/list/?forumId=10014), where you can get the answer online and also service hotlines for each country or region. You can get the regional hotline number via https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/hotline.

Thanks!

Hello, friend!

1.Disable WAN ping

 a. Check whether the WAN IP address of the CPE can be pinged from the remote server.

 b. Ping noip.com. check whether the ping is successful.

2. Check whether services are configured for related ports on the devices connected to the CPE.

When a user attempts to remotely access a connected device, if the port corresponding to the device does not provide services, the access fails.

Thanks!

Hello, friend!

There are two reasons for the failure.
1. The port is occupied.
2. No service is set up on the device.

You can use the following template to verify:

1. The CPE dials up successfully and obtains the WAN IP address.

CPE

2. Create a port forwarding rule on the UI.

(1) Run the ipconfig command to obtain the IP address of the localhost.

CPE

Enter ipconfig in the command line to obtain the local IP address 192.168.8.100.

(2) Set the port forwarding configuration on the UI.

CPE

WAN port indicates the WAN-side port, LAN IP address indicates the local IP address, LAN port indicates the LAN-side port, Protocol indicates the protocol corresponding to the port forwarding rule, and Status is enabled.

(3) The network topology is as follows:

CPE

3. Create LAN-side services through IPOP for WAN-side access. This document uses the web service as an example. The value must be the same as the LAN-side port set in step 1.

(1) Create a local HTML file named default.html.

CPE

2) Use the IPOP software to set the HTML port to the local port 8080 (8080 is the UI setting).

CPE

Root Dir is the path of the default.html file in step 1, Port is the LAN port set in the Port forwarding rule, and Default Page is the HTML file name default.html. After setting the three parameters, click Start.

4. Access the local service and check whether the access is successful.
Enter http://192.168.8.100:8080 (192.168.8.100 is the local IP address) in the address box of the browser and check whether the login is successful.

CPE

5. Access the local service from the remote server and check whether the access is successful.

Open a browser on the remote server, enter http://5.5.7.53:19080 in the address box, and check whether the login is successful.

CPE

If this is successful, the port forwarding function is normal.

Dear support team,
I followed all the points you mention in comment.
Here I troubleshoot a strange thing.
My router WAN IP, when i check from the router>advance>system Info is different than the ip I get from the (https://whatismyipaddress.com/) web search.
How can I make port forwarding, which public ip I need to register with my ddns server.
I checked from both ip. In lan i can access the router from public ip shown in the router interface but from (https://whatismyipaddress.com/) public ip i cant access my router in lan network.
But for remote access I cant access my remote device from outside network while registering both public ip one by one in ddns server.
Can any one help me to solve this issue?

TLDR - Additional NAT on ISP side: Search for «Carrier-grade NAT» (CGNAT) or «NAT444»

The problem is only one if you need mandatory external access to one of your LAN devices. In this case, you need to contact your provider who has implemented carrier-grade NAT. Prepare a sufficiently good justification and report to the supporter that you have been switched to CGNAT and would therefore suffer from restrictions when using the service. Ask the support to take you out of it again.

Dear friend!
The two IP addresses are different because the DDNS dynamically allocates the IP addresses, or maybe a private IP address and a public IP address.
I suggest you configure the product according to the instructions delivered with the product.
Thank you!

When you buy a product, you usually give the product a free product manual.
