Item | Description |
Storage type | Distributed storage |
Product version | FusionStorage 8.0.0 and later |
Problem type | Value-added feature |
Keyword | HyperMetro interruption; I/O errors |
Problem Symptom
An alarm is generated indicating that a HyperMetro pair or consistency group is disconnected. The HyperMetro pair or consistency group is in FAULTY status and the running status is To be synchronized.
Problem Diagnosis
Search for logs on all replication nodes and check whether eventcode(14) or eventcode(15) is printed.
zgrep -a receiveRephcRsfEventIntf /var/log/dr/rep/{run,bak}/*
If yes, go to Solution.
If no, this document is not applicable.
Causes
An I/O error is generated during the I/O process, causing HyperMetro pair or consistency group disconnection.
Solution
On DeviceManager of the clusters at both ends of replication, choose Monitor > Alarms and Events > Alarms to check whether alarms indicating that the storage pool capacity is about to be used up, the storage pool is write-protected, or the storage network communication is abnormal are generated.
If yes, clear the alarm based on the alarm handling suggestions and go to 2.
If no, go to 2.
Synchronize the disconnected HyperMetro pair or consistency group and check whether its status is Synchronizing or Normal for a period of time.
If yes, no further action is required.
If no, go to 3.
Contact technical support engineers.
Check After Recovery
On DeviceManager, check that the status of the HyperMetro pair or consistency group is Synchronizing or Normal and host services are running properly.
