HiCoins as reward: 1 (problem unresolved)

Hi,

We are making a new network and assigned this configuration on users access ports

#
interface GigabitEthernet0/0/1
 port link-type hybrid
 voice-vlan 170 enable
 port hybrid pvid vlan 111
 port hybrid tagged vlan 170
 port hybrid untagged vlan 111
#

With GVRP enable access switches get vlan configuration from the Core by GVRP

It's okay, the switch get dynamic vlan and show it. Vlanif - work, port default vlan - work.

But with hybrid configuration, like i put above, it doesn't work.

Vlans aren't assigned on hybrid ports. They all keep 1 vlan.

If we make vlans by command "vlan batch" everything works okay.

Is there some kind of problem with GVRP and hybrid vlans?

Hi @GI_Proxy
Interface register or deregister VLANs only when they receive GVRP messages, in another word, the interface only be effected by the dynamic VLANs when it configured GVRP function. Simply, when the GVRP function is not enabled on the interface, it will ignore the registeration dynamic VLANs though you can find them in the displaying result, so the packets wouldn't be passed.

Hi @Gl_Proxy
the GVRP should be enabled manually, and the hybrid interface doesn't support GVRP, GVRP only supported configured on trunk interface.

Do you mean that dynamic vlan created by GVRP can't be assigned on hybrid interface?

As you see above we get all vlans by GVRP on users switch, but they don't assign on the hybrid port.
