HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hi everyone,

I have recently made the purchase of the WS5200 model and it is working with the firmware 11.0.3.8_C500, when trying to configure the Port Forwarding I found what apparently is a bug in the information entry form, you cannot enter port range Since the input is fixed at a maximum of 5 characters, then I show you how the form looks like

1

As you can see, both Internal port and External port have a placeholder that is more than 5 characters, to confirm my suspicion, check the code of the page and indeed the input has a maxlength = "5" which would not allow opening ports from 8080 to 8086 to give an example since this would take more than 5 characters

2

additionally, if I try for example "1-3" it throws the error "The port number must be a number." which makes me think that in addition to this problem the input is configured only to accept numbers, this would not allow entering port ranges to configure.

I could also find that the same thing happens with the Port Trigger section not allowing to enter port ranges for configuration.

I really ask for help to know how to report this possible bug or a solution for opening port ranges in this router model.

Thank you very much to all who can help me.

Hi, friend!

The WS5200 is a consumer device.

Generally, device port forwarding supports only the virtual service port number of the forwarding device, and this configuration does not support forwarding other ports.

In addition, the device version is a customized version, which may be because the ISP disables port numbers whose max-length is greater than 5.

Thanks!

Hello,

In my case, I bought the router in the market, it is not delivered by an ISP so it should not have any configuration other than the HUAWEI itself, I am surprised that it does not allow to open ports in range since the modem's own placeholder shows that the field It should accept more than it allows, I am very surprised that you indicate that it is a custom version, since it was bought in the technology market where it would be assumed that it would come only with the factory configuration, how could it be updated to the official firmware of the equipment then?

Thanks for the help

Hello, friend!

First of all, I need to apologize to you, because before this, I misunderstood your question.

The preceding problem is not caused by the device. In the port forwarding configuration of the device, only a single port number can be specified for the internal port number and external port number. You cannot specify a range of port numbers in the parameters. However, you can create multiple forwarding rules.

To forward port numbers ranging from 8080 to 8086, you can create multiple port forwarding configurations to forward port numbers 8080, 8081, 8082, 8083, 8084, 8085, and 8086 respectively.

Thanks!
