Huawei WiFi AX3 Pro

In january I purchased 2 AX3 Pro routers to upgrade my home network. 

I used them for about 4 months in a wired mesh configuration without issues. However, for the past months it has become almost impossible to use them. There are a lot of issues such as:

  1. Connected devides show as connected to the router but can't be accessed

  2. Wired or wireless devices are unable to access the internet. 

  3. Some static IPs just don't work anymore.

Examples: 


The NAS storage device (wired) is connected only at times. Swapping the port or rebooting the router several times eventually fixes the issue. If i connect it to the old router there are no issues what so ever.

Mobile phones, at times, connect to the 2.4 GHz network and it says that I'm connected to a router without internet. Switching wifi to 5GHz fixes the connection instantly.

CCTV had a fixed ip. The router now simply refuses to allow connection via fixed ip to the recorder. If i disable the IP reservation, it becomes visible into the network.


I end up spending up to an hour a day trying to fix these. Any advice before i ditch the 2 routers would be appreciated.


The software version on both routers is 10.0.5.27(SP2)

1. Validate if the equipment has an updated firmware version, and enable the automatic update function if it is disabled.

UPGRADE


2- On Wi-Fi access control, validate if the devices in question that are not able to access internet are on a blacklist

3 - have DHCP enabled? If so, validate if the static IP you are trying to use is being provided by DHCP. There may be an IP conflict.

Thank you for your answer.

The Auto-update feature is enabled and it shows as latest version as per the original post. I don't see how this changes anything unless the updates messed things up.

Hello, friend!

According to your problem description, I suspect that the gateway address conflict may occur. As a result, the device is connected to the router but fails to obtain the correct IP address. Alternatively, multiple DHCP servers exist on the LAN and packets are not forwarded to the optical modem.

Please confirm the following information:
1. Detailed networking topology, Internet access mode of each route, and gateway address of the router;
2. Check whether the primary route connecting the device to the AX3 pro can access the Internet.
3. Change the primary route of the AX3 pro to the bridging mode, and reconnect the device to check whether the device can obtain the correct IP address and access the Internet.
