Hi,

I know we can do users blacklisting that when a user walks in premises and user is blacklisted, it will give an alert.
But can we do a whitelisting as well to keep users attendance and know their whereabouts in the premises.

Sure, Huawei's solution has this function.

You can refer to the following.

Configuring a Blacklist- or Whitelist-based Face Alert Task

  1. Create a camera group and add cameras.

    1. Choose System > Camera Management > Camera Group.
    2. Click Create Group and set the parameters according to Figure1.
      Figure 1 Create Group

    3. Click OK.
    4. Select the newly created camera group. The selected camera group is highlighted.
    5. Click Add on the right.
    6. Search for required cameras (if needed) and select them from the camera list.
    7. Click OK.

  2. Configure a blacklist and a whitelist.

    1. Choose Applications > Person Library Mgmt. > Dynamic Library.
    2. To add a blacklist, clicken-us_image_0104686410.png next to Blacklist Library, enter a custom blacklist name as Figure 2, and click OK.

Upload the blacklisted person's face image to the blacklist.

    4. Click Group and select a blacklist under Blacklist.

You can also configure other information about the blacklisted person to help security guards better understand the person.

    5. Click OK.
    6. Similarly, upload the face images of employees that are allowed to enter the building to a whitelist in the Whitelist Library by referring to steps 234, and 5.

  3. (Optional) After the VCM blacklist function is enabled, configure the alarms generated based on the blacklist to be pushed only to the members of the current user group and parent user group.

    1. Log in to the SEM.
    2. Choose System management > Advanced Configuration > VCM Alarm Mode Configuration.
    3. Enable VCM Blacklist Switch.
    4. Click Save.

  4. Create face alert tasks based on the blacklist and whitelist.

    1. Choose Applications > Face Alerts > Alert Task Management.
    2. Click Create to create face alert tasks based on the blacklist and the whitelist. The following figure shows the Create Face Alert Task page for creating a blacklist-based face alert task. Table1 Face alert task parameters describes the parameters

The VCM allows you to set the similarity threshold for a facial recognition task during task creation. After a face alert task is created, alarms are generated only for faces whose similarity is higher than the threshold.

A lower similarity threshold indicates more blacklisted/whitelisted faces matched and a higher false positive rate.

good day, dear

Do you say protection zone? The protection zone is an area that consists of correlated alarm sources and alarm output devices. Users can enable and disable all devices in the protection zone, and configure unified linkage policies for this zone. When an alarm source generates an alarm in the protection zone, surveillance personnel can invoke devices in the protection zone to handle the alarm promptly.
If you want to see the attendance rate, it may be a bit difficult.
