Huawei U2000 Primary and Secondary Server Hosting in Cloud

Hello All,

 

We are in the age of "Cloud ". Now a days, all applications are being moved to cloud and hosted remotely somewhere in the data center at cloud service provider's server. 

 

As we understand, currently for all network vendor's, they have their own dedicated hardware for server and NMS applications is being hosted in primary and secondary servers respectively. Let us say , I would need dedicated server space in private cloud for hosting NMS application ( Huawei U2000 server or any other ) with below requirements :-

 12 Cores of processing power
 64GB of RAM
 3 Disks of least 300GB
 1GB Ethernet Network Interface

 

What are advantages and disadvantages of Hosting NMS application in Private Cloud ( Primary and Backup) ? Is there any security issues ?

 

In current scenario, most of the service provider have their own dedicated hardware of NMS server?

If the Private Cloud system breaks both servers will be down and for security reason, if an corrupt user access the Cloud has access to all your files. For safety reason is recommended to have the monitor system on physical devices.

If we can have both servers on different cloud providers ? then I understand , there is no single point of failures.

Yes, off-course I agree with you that , for security reasons it is not recommended to host NMS application in cloud as they will have access or off course there are chances of cyber attacks as it is accessible via internet.

Do you have any supporting document, explaining pro's and cons f hosting NMS application in Local Server vs Cloud ?

HUAWEI have the FusionCloud solution which may help you to building the Private Cloud for your company, and for that you can using the VMware solution, install the U2000 on virtual machine, for the security I think everyone know that is important ,so HUAWEI will also think about that . for more details you can check from support website.
