Comply with the following principles when expanding the capacity of a file system for which the remote replication service is configured:
- The capacity of the file system can be expanded in any running state of a remote replication pair.
- You are advised to expand the same capacity for the primary and secondary file systems. If the available capacity of the secondary file system is smaller than that of the primary file system, the remote replication will be interrupted during data synchronization due to insufficient capacity of the secondary file system. If the available capacity of the secondary file system is larger than that of the primary file system, the remaining capacity of the secondary file system will be wasted.
- You are advised to expand the secondary file system first and then the primary file system.
- If Running Status of a remote replication pair is Split or Interrupted, manually synchronize data after expanding the capacity of the primary and secondary file systems.
