This post summarizes OS installation cases on Huawei servers for your reference only.

The general methods for installing the OS on Huawei servers include the Service CD/Smart Provisioning boot installation, CD/image installation, and other methods.

Hi,

I can't upgrade/Install ESXi 6.5 Update 1 to my RH1288 V3 server (Network Interface: SM211).

It is in the compatibility list but I get "ProcessLookupError: [Errno 3] No such process" when I try to upgrade or Install it.

I already upgrade BIOS to the last version.

Any ideas?

You have to fill manually some tags (like BIOS Asset Tag) with FusionServer Elabeltool.

In elabel tool are named: Product asset tag, chassis part number and chassis type (doesn't matter what you're filling there, just need to be something)

After this, try again to install ESXi 6.5 U1
