Hi

We have deployed multiple Huawei Routers [NE8000-M14 and NE40E-X8A] We want review and compare to each device. What are the main differences between NE8000-M14 and NE40E-X8A router series? are they offering same services functionality?

Product positioning difference:
NE40E series routers are high-end network products. It is deployed at the edge of IP backbone networks, IP metropolitan area networks (MANs), and other large-scale IP networks. The device works with core routers to provide a complete and hierarchical IP network solution.
NetEngine 8000 M14 is all-scenario access and aggregation router. These compact and large-capacity routers provide strong switching capabilities and support various interfaces to flexibly adapt to different service scenarios. Both models provide redundancy protection for key components to ensure high reliability for multi-service transport. In addition, they support new technologies, such as Segment Routing over IPv6 (SRv6), Flexible Ethernet (FlexE), and In-situ Flow Information Telemetry (iFIT), facilitating customers' smooth evolution to cloud-based networks.
