Huawei routers - any good?

  Rewarded HiCoins: 0 (problem resolved)

So Im in the middle of having a new managed MPLS/Internet service set up for our 4 offices - 100mb circuits with Ethernet presentation and ADSL backup.

The company is using Huawei routers for the managed endpoints (AR200). Just wondering if they're any good? They're obvious cheap and that's made the price of the service really good but they'll put cisco in if I wanted (for a price!!)

Bearing in mind I won't be managing them, I'll have no access to them I don't think. More concerned about performance and reliability... Not read anything bad about them - any experts here have experience with them?

As a Huawei user, I will share with you some of my true feelings without prejudice. In general, Huawei's enterprise network equipment gives me the feeling that as long as you do not find any intuitive problems during use, it will be absolutely reliable. Let me explain in detail what I said. Although Huawei has been working hard to develop into the international market, however, since Huawei has no deeper qualifications than some companies from other countries like Cisco, there will be some minor problems in the equipment software. Such problems include software bugs, design flaws, and unconsidered usage. But if you are a regular enterprise, generally you will not encounter such a problem, because for your scenario, Huawei has conducted sufficient functional tests. Therefore, as long as you do not find any software problems that may affect your use, then you do not need to worry about their working stability. In terms of hardware, to be honest, I do not usually know what specific hardware configuration they chose for their products. But what I am sure of is that Huawei's hardware facilities are definitely not like some other small companies in China who choose randomly, or claim to use industrial-grade hardware, but they cannot actually achieve the corresponding results. Huawei's hardware design absolutely meets conventional business requirements, which includes long-term stable work under uninterrupted power. This is my personal experience. In terms of cost performance, I will definitely say that Huawei's products are great value for money. But if you want a device that is more perfect but not necessarily more useful to you, I would say choose Cisco. If you have no special requirements, I actually highly recommend Huawei enterprise network equipment including the AR router series.
